Sad news, just in tonight. DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo and companions were on board a 6-seater private plane when it sent a distress call early this evening. The pilot decided for an emergency landing in Masbate but instead it crashed off the coast of this island. As of this time, Robredo and two others are still missing after rescuers scoured the area for signs of survivors. One of Robredo's aide survived with minor injuries. The search for the missing passengers will continue tomorrow. Search and rescue operations are not called-off as earlier reports said.
It is a Saturday already and apparently our top government official is still neck deep in doing his job. It is just sad that this kinds of accident happen. We hope they are alright and that all of the missing will be found.
